…at home; and who doesn’t want some fun, mandatory or not. The beer, a nice 9.3% double IPA from the fine folks at Hess Brewings. Piney and citrusy nose, and the flavor doesn’t disappoint. Yum.

Solis 95
Whoa…another old can in the beer drawer. Canned in Mar of 2019. Damn, I really need to do a better job of rotating beers forward. Straight from da can.
Hop Cloud Hazy IPA
We rode bicycles to Hess Brewing’s newest tasting room in Imperial Beach. Happens to be right across the street from Coronado Brewing’s IB location. 26 miles in and 24 to go. As nurishment to fortify our ride home, I chose a big boy glass of a 7% ABV, 65 IBU NE-style hazy IPA, she chose […]
Solis #83
Yesterday’s Friday Afternoon Club at Hess Brewing Miramar was very slow compared to previous gatherings. As the beer-tender, Ciro, pointed out people were doing things other than enjoying beer on 4-20, 2018. I was happy with the #83 version of Solis…tasted like an old-school west coast IPA.

Brunus Induresco Coffee Porter
Greatly enjoying this “baby” growler full of yummy, roasty, 7.5% coffee porter from Hess Brewing! Hess brews some of the best coffee beer ever using roasted coffee beans from The Coffee and Tea Collective… I hope I can sleep tonight after all the caffeine!
Fun At Hess
Stopped by Hess at closing time, and was happy to see that the place was still happening! Many beers to choose from, so we enjoyed a few tasters while chatting with Michael and other fun patrons… My fav was Brunus Inderesco (coffee porter).
