OoOOoo…spooky. Seemed appropriate for the evening. A delish IIPA made in the hazy style from Moonraker Brewing. A sweet nose of dank hops and tropical fruits which follows through nicely with the flavor. Sweet with soft mouth-feel and low bitterness.
10% ABV hazy IIPA. Piney and resinous nose with subtle melon notes. Soft mouth feel, great hop flavors with little to no lingering hop bitterness. The 10% ABV is less apparent with each sip.
10oz pours of the 9% ABV IIPA at Iron Pig today (Saturday) only. I assume price goes back up tomorrow.
Deceptively smooth and balanced for 9.9% ABV.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve had Maharaja from a bottle. I’ve mostly enjoyed on draft. Very tasty.
The malty sweetness hides the 10.5% ABV. Pleasant bitterness does not linger.
At O’Brien’s for $7. Not bad for an 11% beer…but not as good as the “Roll it Night” where beat the house are $3 local craft pints.
Though I greatly enjoy IPAs,, 2x and imperial to boot…I have not been too impressed with the oak aged stuff I have tried. I found this blend of oak aged and unaged IPA enjoyable while soaking up to my neck in hot bubbling water. The 10%ABV kicked in and I required mouth to mouth resuscitation. […]
