Our first visit since they moved into the old Whiskey Creek building…so it has been a while. Our favorites were the Wild Sierra, their mountain farmhouse saison brewed with pine, and Bluesa Brett, a mildly tart blonde with brett.

Mammoth Brewing Summer Triple
A tasty 7.2% Belgian-style ale that I found more saison-like than Triple, but that’s just me.
Elderberry Sour
From Mammoth Brewing and on draft at Bottlecraft Little Italy. We enjoyed it while shopping for liquid refreshments. A good mix of tart and sweet… similar to a Flemish red.
2011 Owens Valley Wet Harvest Lager
Mammoth Brewing Company used locally harvested Cascade hops in what they are calling an imperial pale ale. Body seems kind of light for and imperial (label says 6.8%). Very mild hop for a pale, but drinkable. Need to hydrate anyway after my bike ride and yard work…while making chicken rice soup.
