We bicycled the 15 miles to the newest brewery in town, Gravity Heights. Off Mira Mesa Blvd and Pacific Heights. Nice place. Not a surprise, I opted for the hoppy flight.. …and she opted for the dark and malty tasters. Not a bad beer in the bunch…not much a surprise considering Skip Virgilio is at […]
A stop at Pizza Port Ocean Beach. The GABF award winning Belgian-style Tripel, La Flama Dorada, in the dainty glass for the lady, while I chose a big boy glass of the fresh hop IPA made with Mosiac hops, Coup D’etat.
Nice new batch of Pig Nose. Team PubQuest bike beer stop #5 is where we started… riding in circles.
Very refreshing session version of Alpine Beer Company’s Nelson IPA…like a half Nelson. Team PubQuest bike beer stop #3.
Their seasonal Summer was my fav… an exceptional light bodied hoppy pale ale…but all we tasted were good. We found Seattle beer stop #7 on PubQuest.
Great Raft hoppy saison. Can’t take it carry on, so drinking it before flying out. Grapefruit-like citrus hop character over a very light bodied beer, crisp clean finish. 6% ABV.
Still some available after our 3 pours, but I doubt it will be available much longer… really good. Also tasted their new beer coming out… Philipween “Pure Guava” Saison… very nice. A little cold getting home at dusk… and a bit scary with traffic… but overall a great Sunday bike ride.
A very enjoyable IPA from Bell’s Brewery, Comstock, MI. Thank you to Julie at PubQuest for the beer.
Couldn’t decide on one and chose a flight. (left to right) Dry School Hop Out, Smokin Kiwi, Symphonic and new Electrocution IPA.
The streets blocked off in North Park = a good reason for a beercycle as “Team Pubquest”! Stopped at Thorn Street Brewery for a taster set that included Foreplay and Fornication (fun beer names with 15 choices!), followed by a coffee beer stop at Blind Lady Ale House, and waves to Stone South Park and […]
