It poured a bit murky, but not chunky. Fruit and funk nose. Very pleasant saison-like flavor; mildly fruity, subtle sweetness, nice finish with just a bit of bitterness…enough to make me want another sip. A roasty american brown ale with enough hops added to give it a mildly bitter finish.
Based on taste I would not have guessed a Belgian-style tripel. Malty and hoppy, with Belgian-esk esters, I would have categorized a hoppy Belgian-style amber. Didn’t stop me from finishing it.
