At first, the nose and the flavor didn’t really add up. With the pale malt body and grapefruit citrus nose from the dry-hopping, I didn’t expect such a piney and grassy hop bitterness. Add to that the 8% ABV, and it was like a NE IPA on steroids….less the hazy.
Very good, but not the best Omnipollo beer we’ve had. Some of the best beers we had during our recent trip to Sweden were from Sweden’s own Omnipollo. Being a gypsy brewery, they don’t have an actual brewery…but they have a draft house in Stockholm which showcases their beers, as well as a few others. Lustro is made here in the states by Dorchester Brewing Company, in Boston MA, for Omnipollo.
