Juicy and soft…delish. Finish has hint of black pepper.
Mmm…tasty. Light body. Great hop flavors. Clean finish. All that and only 5.4% ABV. From Alvarado Street Brewery.
Quite impressed with this 5.5% ABV strawberry and banana kettle sour beer from Alavardo Street Brewery. Sweet banana and strawberries on the nose over the tart malt base, with a more-tart-than-sweet flavor that follows through nicely. Flavors and mouth-feel are full bodied, and not thin, which seems often the case with lower ABV beers. Not […]
A delish 7% ABV collaboration IPA from the fine folks at Burgeon Beer Co. and Alvarado Street Brewery. Juicy citrus notes, mild bitterness that quickly diminish and a somewhat sweet finish. Might as well be a morning breakfast beverage. I guess it is depending on what time of day you drink it. Hmmm…or is it […]
A damn tasty collaboration beer from J. Wakefield Brewing and Alvarado Street Brewery. Based on flavor..no way I would call this an IPA. Sour and fruitiness overwhelm any hop bitterness.
A delish 8% ABV double IPA in the NE hazy-style, from the fine folks at Alvarado Street Brewery. Found this gem at the Solana Beach BC.
No longer on draft but cans still available. The collaboration beer from Amplified Ale Works and Alvarado Street Brewery is a damn fine beer. Juicy and hazy, with pronounced fruit/ citrus notes and moderate bitterness. Get it while you can.
Doing homework and drinking from da can.
The name loosely translated is Three (in french) Bastards (in spanish). An homage to the band The Melvins by the three friends that made it, this 8.5% hazy double IPA is as good as the draft versions enjoyed multiple times before…juicy and delicious.
Very happy, and a bit surprised, to find this 8% ABV double IPA, collaboration beer from Amplified Ale Works and Alvarado Street Brewery, still on draft in Amplified PB. Really quite good.
