Quingenti with Brewer Ken Schmidt

getting ready to drink the Stone collaboration Quingenti Millitre with Ken Schmidt, the Brewer.

I really enjoyed the original (as well as Ken’s homebrew version), so I liked this one too. Plenty of coffee and macadamia nut notes still in the nose and taste.

My only complaint was that it didn’t have anywhere near the oaky, bourbon wood character that I would have expected from a beer that spent a couple years in Heaven Hill barrels.

All-in-all, very well balanced though. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

So, what do you think ?
