It’s been a while since I’ve had it, but have always enjoyed Maui’s CoCoNut Porter and it was the first thing I thought of when I tried Death by Coconut last night.
Death by Cocont nose and flavor are more sweet and rich chocolatey and coconutty. Way more so than Maui. Maui’s coconut seems much more subtle with the roasted malts of the porter more pronounced. DbC reminds me of Almond Joy…mmm…like dessert.
Both were $11.99 for a 4-pack. DbC is 6.5%ABV while Maui is 6%ABV.
