Here it is Friday, and I haven’t even posted pix from last weekend. It was one hell of a work week and I am looking forward to a great beer weekend. I have emptied my camera so I am ready…for whatever. Last Saturday I had two small beer gatherings. The first one was a friends […]
New After my appointment in El Cajon I ventured just a few more minutes east. I was hoping they still had some Nelson IPA, but no…this batch only lasted a week. I feel fortunate to have had a few pints of Nelson at Churchill’s 2009 Hopocolyps a week and a half ago. Alpine posted new […]
More work at home, a Midnight Sessions next to me and movie called Wassup Rockers on TV in the back ground.
Not quite a full 22oz pour, but still better than a 4oz taster. I expect to be up late, so I doubt this is my only post for the evening.
During my travels today I found myself near San Diego Brewing and stopped in for a pint. Though none of my favorite San Diego Brewing beers were on tap today, there were plenty guest beers to choose from. Of the guest beers there was nothing I that really yelled out “drink me”, or that […]
My last Jubelale was not nearly as enjoyable as tonight’s, I suspect due to drinking it after a pint of Pliny the Elder. The Pliny just killed the nice bite of the Jubelale. This time I switched the order and started with the Jubelale and chased it with a Russian River Blind Pig IPA. Yum
Though I brought my camera with me to the Carnevale Party, I failed to use it. I prepared by deleting old pics off of my card and charging my battery, but I don’t recall taking the camera out and actually taking pictures with it. Maybe due to the difficult access of my fancy robe, maybe […]
Yes, I have so many pint glasses that they are stored in boxes in the garage. Yes, I broke one while washing dishes. Why spend money on a glass? Because I enjoy drinking from it…why else… It is all about the experience. After a long-ass week I finally get a chance to sit down and […]
Last October, at the Great American Beer Festival, I ran into the head brewer of Schooner’s Grille & Brewery, Craig Cauwels. He was sandwiched between the busy booths of The Lost Abbey and Russian River. He makes an awesome oatmeal stout and other tasty beers. If you don’t believe me, check out his list of […]
Our local watering hole, Churchill’s, had some wonderful beer on tap. The Abyss and My Bloody Valentine were actually tapped Friday the 13th. We were just lucky they were still available when we went. Matt Dolman brought the Founders Breakfast Stout to share.
