2014 version of the brewmaster’s edition was aged in whiskey barrels. Very smooth, somewhat sweet, but not too sweet, with hints of toffee/vanilla flavors.
Fiftyfifty 2011 Imperial Eclipse Stout – Brandy Barrel Blend was greatly enjoyed with my valentine! Paired well with dark chocolates.
Loads of barrel-aged beers… Too late for Abyss, and instead chose Flying Dog Barrel-aged Gonzo and Great Divide Rumble. Both boozy and enjoyable. Adam insisted on adding a San Diego Beer Company “Happy Ending”… I have to say it was very tasty!
A barrel aged imperial stout with coffee. Found it in a bag on the door of the fridge. I have no idea how long it has been there….likely years. 10%abv
In preparation for the Jack Daniel’s Dinner last night at Churchills Pub & Grille, Ivan had Jack Daniel’s barrels filled with beer at Port Brewing/ Lost Abbey. The barrel aged Serpent’s Stout was fantastic. Get it while you can…I doubt it will last long.
