Palanfrina

A 9% ABV gruit from Italy made with chestnuts.

Malty sweetness and alcohol, like a boozy mild English brown ale but with a Belgian – like yeast..maybe.  Interesting.  I couldn’t tell you there were any kind of nut in the beer based on flavor…but I suppose without the chestnuts it would have been imported Italian water.
