AleSmith was the first stop, followed by Duck Foot and then Regents Pizza for a big boy glass (the Fish IPA from Pizza Port Brewing) and a slice. Last stop Amplified Ale Works and their Soundcheck IPA. A great way to spend a day.
As you might expect, a big boy glass of Knee Deep Breaking Bud, an American IPA, for me, and the dainty glass of Modern Times Fruitlands, gose, with Apricots for the lady. I’m not gonna lie, as much as I’m enjoying the Breaking Bud, I should have got the Fruitlands. More tart than sweet…more so […]
Though not on the menu the XPA is quite good…while it lasts. Can’t believe it’s been 3 years.
At the source, and very good batch…though can’t recall a bad batch.
A collaboration wit from Amplified Ale Works and Karl Strauss. Brewed with hibiscus and dry hopped with mosaic hops. Though in seems most of the PB Pathways go nowhere in particular…one does take you to the front steps of Amplified. Cheers.
The wit and wit dry hopped with mosaic and hibiscus weren’t quite ready for consumption. Treble Tripel is a pretty nice fallback option.
It was not an easy decision choosing between their Hommel Hoff and Electrocution…both sooooo good…. but there comes a time when one must decide. I chose right for now.
Looks like another beautiful day in San Diego. A session IPA may be the perfect 11am beverage.
At Amplified Ale Works with a big boy Electro-Lite session IPA and a sidecar 4oz of Rare Form, their 13.?% barrel-aged quad…really good.
Tapped minutes ago at Amplified Ale Works. Yumm
