A great day for a bike ride. We stopped at Amplified Ale Works new Miramar location for some fuel. I chose a small glass of the Electrocution IPA, she chose the G-string, the Belgian-style strong golden listed as Gold Record at PB location.
Another beautiful day in San Diego…so clear after yesterdays rain. A nice reward for making the 2 mile trek down the coast to Amplified Ale Works. This 7.1% ABV west coast IPA is never a bad choice. I expect we will need to fortify for the trek back home.
A new 9.4% ABV Belgian-style golden strong ale at Amplified Ale Works. It’s somewhat sweet, a bit of black pepper in the finish, and warming alcohol throughout. Nice beer.
Now available east of I-5, Amplified Ale Works brew house, off Miramar Road, soft open has been happening since 3pm today. Enjoying the colaboration beer, Centerpointe, made with next door neighbor, Pure Project.
Amplified Ale Works 9.1% ABV double India Pale Ale. Drinking at the source.
An awesome IPA to go with our lamb tacos and spinach salad, with salmon kabobs, at…you guessed it…California Kabob / Amplified Ale Works.
AleSmith was the first stop, followed by Duck Foot and then Regents Pizza for a big boy glass (the Fish IPA from Pizza Port Brewing) and a slice. Last stop Amplified Ale Works and their Soundcheck IPA. A great way to spend a day.
As you might expect, a big boy glass of Knee Deep Breaking Bud, an American IPA, for me, and the dainty glass of Modern Times Fruitlands, gose, with Apricots for the lady. I’m not gonna lie, as much as I’m enjoying the Breaking Bud, I should have got the Fruitlands. More tart than sweet…more so […]
Though not on the menu the XPA is quite good…while it lasts. Can’t believe it’s been 3 years.
At the source, and very good batch…though can’t recall a bad batch.
