Saint Archer is a fairly new brewery here in San Diego. From what I’ve heard it was started by a sports agent and a bunch of his clients who are skateboarders, snowboarders, motocross riders, rodeo clowns, circus performers and the like. The branding is nice and I’m told the brewery is 100% new stuff, so they’ve obviously got the money behind them.
Unfortunately this beer is kind of “meh”. It’s nice, well-constructed, and tastes pretty good, but now that I’ve had it, I don’t think I’d pick it when given the choice between it and a lot of the other San Diego IPAs (it’s actually not even a San Diego IPA. Hop profile and body are much more East Coast).
I’m probably not their target audience.
