A friend brought over a couple of Stone IPA mix packs. Among the beers were a trio of Stone RuinTen triple IPAs clocking in at 10.8% ABV.
Truthfully, I haven’t had a Ruination (the double version) in years. But I do remember a long night of drinking following Stone’s 9th(?) anniversary where a very well-lubricated Greg Koch told my wife that it was what his girlfriend slipped him when she wasn’t interested in his amorous moves. She called it “night night” beer.
I’m just getting started on this one, but other than a slightly maltier flavor and a lot of extra hops to offset it, my first impression of RuinTen is…. zzzzzzzzzz.
